Location: Hyderabad (HITEC City / Gachibowli)
Company:
Pisteyo
Shift:
Full U.S. Mountain Time overlap (approx. 8:30 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. IST)

About Pisteyo

Pisteyo is a U.S.-based AI management consulting and BPO-focused firm. We help clients design and run AI-enabled operations, with a strong focus on finance operations, automation, and execution excellence.

We are establishing Pisteyo India Private Limited in Hyderabad as our first international hub. The India team will be lean, highly capable, and work in real-time overlap with the U.S. team.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Head of Operations (India) to launch, run, and grow our Hyderabad hub.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role for someone with strong U.S. exposure who enjoys building systems from scratch, working directly with senior leaders, and driving cross-border alignment.

You will:

  • Lead day-to-day operations for the Hyderabad office.
  • Act as an operational partner to the U.S. leadership team.
  • Drive cross-border operations projects including process design, reporting, internal operations, and company-wide initiatives.

How We Work at Pisteyo (Culture Expectations for This Role)

Pisteyo’s culture is foundational to how we operate. The Head of Operations is expected to model and reinforce these principles from day one:

  • Candor with kindness: Communicate clearly and directly with U.S. leadership and the India team, especially when something is off-track.
  • Ownership mindset: Think and act like a business operator — solving problems proactively, making decisions quickly, and treating company time and resources as your own.
  • Speed toward value: Move fast from idea → prototype → learning → improvement. Focus on outcomes that create measurable business value, not unnecessary process or analysis.
  • Learning out loud: Share what worked, what didn’t, and turn experiences into reusable playbooks, SOPs, and templates for both teams.
  • Human + AI teaming: Use automation to remove bottlenecks, elevate the uniquely human work, and design how people + intelligent tools operate together.

These principles should feel natural and energizing — this role will help embed them across the India hub.

Key Responsibilities

1. India Site Leadership & People

  • Launch and run Pisteyo India's initial operations (4–6 seat coworking office).
  • Hire, onboard, and lead the initial team (HR/People Ops, AI Automation Engineer, Accountant).
  • Create a high-accountability, high-trust culture tailored to a night-shift, cross-border model.
  • Manage workspace operations, IT coordination, vendor relationships, and local administration.
  • Act as the primary India point of contact for U.S. leadership and local partners (CA, payroll, legal).

2. Cross-Border Operations & Internal Projects

  • Work closely with the CEO and U.S. team on process design, reporting, and operational enablement.
  • Develop SOPs, workflows, dashboards, and repeatable operational patterns.
  • Support finance/back-office operations in collaboration with U.S. accounting partners.
  • Drive special projects such as tooling rollouts, policy design, and operational experiments.
  • Maintain tight communication loops with clear action tracking and follow-through.

3. Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Coordinate with CA/legal partners to ensure statutory compliance for a Private Limited entity.
  • Help establish India HR policies, including night-shift norms, allowances, and workplace safety.
  • Support data security standards aligned to U.S. client expectations.
  • Identify operational and compliance risks early and drive mitigation.

Ideal Profile

Experience

  • 6–10 years in operations, program management, consulting, or similar roles.
  • Strong U.S. exposure — onsite U.S. work, U.S.-facing delivery, or cross-border coordination.
  • Experience in BPO, consulting, SaaS, finance operations, or tech-enabled services.
  • Bonus: experience launching or scaling an India-based hub or capability center.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong operator mindset; able to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent process design, documentation, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Comfort with operational metrics, dashboards, and project management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Leadership & Culture Fit

  • Builder mentality — excited by creating structure where none exists.
  • Collaborative, low-ego, and comfortable rolling up sleeves.
  • Values candor, ownership, speed, and learning out loud.
  • Comfortable working a full U.S. Mountain Time night shift.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent is a plus but not essential.

What Success Looks Like in 12 Months

  • India hub is fully operational, stable, and delivering measurable value to the U.S. team.
  • Clear SOPs, processes, and reporting mechanisms in place and adopted by both teams.
  • High-trust, fast-moving, cross-border operating rhythm established.
  • Internal operations projects delivered with speed, quality, and repeatability.
